My Day in Books (meme)

December 26, 2011

This meme was so much fun, I had to share it with you. You can see it done by other bloggers here and here. This was my day (all books are ones I read this year):

I began the day with Kick-Ass Creativity.

On my way to work I saw The Duchess of Bloomsbury Street

And walked by Revolutionary Road,

To avoid Death in the Garden.

But I made sure to stop at Swamplandia!

In the office, my boss said, “Do One Thing Different,”

And sent me to research The Tao of Equus.

At lunch with Cluny Brown,

I noticed The Sinister Pig

Under The Winter Sea,

Then went back to my desk, Naked, Drunk and Writing.

Later, on the journey home, I bought Home is Where the Wine Is

Because I Was Told There’d Be Cake.

Then settling down for the evening, I picked up The Paris Wife

And studied How Not to Look Old

Before saying goodnight to Bossypants.

What would your day in books look like?

  2. Such fun! Especially to a book lover. I think my day would end with Randy Alcorns, "Safely Home."

  6. These are such fun to read and I love seeing a few of the books you read this year! I read Death in the Garden several years ago and was just looking at her other books recently. It does look like you've read a nice variety of NF--I hope to read more of it next year!

  8. Danielle--It was a lot of fun going back over the books I read in 2011. I worked on compiling some stats yesterday--it was interesting to see what I'd spent most of my time on, and gave me ideas for what I'd like to read more/less of in 2012.
