And I would undoubtedly have starved if I had to grow all my own food. I guess someone has to keep the farmers in business.Kathy A. The last time ...I don't even try here anymore. The last time the critters ate my tomatoes right done to the ground even though I had the plants in pots with chicken wire covering the tops and sides. I would love to have the fresh produce but it doesn't work for me. I really wonder how the settlers managed to avoid starvation.Timareehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15769047120660859743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6930263311780001387.post-69736261822915080002012-02-11T10:03:46.806-05:002012-02-11T10:03:46.806-05:00I'm always optimistic, too. I finally learned ...I'm always optimistic, too. I finally learned that if I don't SEE the plants on a daily basis, they will die. At least if I see them, I notice if they start to droop or get eaten by bugs. I love a beautiful garden, but I just don't seem to have the wherewithal to grow one myself. Oh, well, maybe someday!Kathy A. The bugs always eat my petunias and then I get really discouraged. I've given up on vegetables as I do not have a green thumb. But for those first few weeks I am always hopeful and think this year is going to be different--I'm going to be So dedicated to my plants... Maybe this year? :)Daniellehttp://www.danitorres.typepad.comnoreply@blogger.com
